About Eric Edwards
Eric Edwards is a native San Diegan who has been involved with various events both in the past and present.
At the age of 21 he started a promotion company and promoted many clubs, parties and special events. He has had many in and out of town celebrities attend past events, such as Janet Jackson, Wycliffe, LL Cool J, Cuba Gooding Jr., and many of the San Diego Chargers and Padres.
In 1983 Eric met the Special Events Coordinator for the San Diego Padres, he jokingly told her that they could get the crowd going by having a couple of guys go out on the field and dance to “old school” music. Well she listened, he got the job and he became one of the “San Diego Padres ground crew dancers.” He continues to dance for the Padres at select games and has appeared at numerous charitable events. The Padres fans were so interested in him that Channel 4 did a special one on one interview with him. As well as San Diego Magazine giving him a full page interview in the Best of San Diego edition.
In 1990 he was picked by MTV as a talent scout! His job was to find models and bands for a variety of events. He helped set up the Woodstock 2 event held in New York. Three years later he got a job with Viking Pictures as their Promotional Director. He scouted locations for filming, found sponsors, set up numerous meetings and attended the Sundance Film Festival.
When the Super Bowl came to San Diego in 1998 and 2003 he teamed with Ethnic Entertainment, Old Pro Sports, Jack Daniels, Miller Lite, Red Bull, Fox, and Fotto Ball just to name a few to throw some of the most memorable Super Bowl Parties and the celebrity golf tournament. He continues to be involved all around San Diego with promotions and events.
After switching gears and getting his license to become a Professional Massage Therapist, he got a job at Paradise Point Spa and Resort. After hearing some the positive comments his clients were making he knew he was gifted with the “best hands in town” and has become the most requested therapist at the resort.
In 2010 he started the ALIST T.V. Show. They have filmed a number of events, to include parties at the Playboy Mansion, the 50th Anniversary Block party for the San Diego Chargers and the 2010 San Diego Bay Fair Hydroplane event at Mission Bay. They continue to give back to community with filming numerous charity events and fund raising golf tournaments.
Fast forward to 2011…….the ALIST raised the bar and started its own event and production company. They have hosted the 1st ever San Diego Soul Food festival partnering with Meals-on-Wheels. This event has now become an annual festival and ALIST is continuing to grow with more events to come!
